Her passion for creativity and personal growth led her to become a writer, coach, and motivational speaker, inspiring people worldwide to pursue their passions with confidence and courage.
However, when the pandemic hit, Dawn faced unprecedented creative resistance. Despite years of experience in the field, she struggled to overcome writer’s block, feeling overwhelmed by the uncertainty and chaos of the world around her. During this time, she gained a newfound appreciation for the struggles many writers face when bringing their ideas to life. Determined to turn her creative struggle into an opportunity for growth and learning, Dawn immersed herself in research, studying the psychology of resistance and exploring various techniques for overcoming personal limitations. Drawing on her personal experiences and the insights she gained, she began writing a book that would not only help her break through her writer’s block but would also offer concrete strategies and exercises to help others do the same.
The resulting book, “Cracking the Resistance Code: How to Break Through the Fear of Uncertainty and Write Your Book,” is a testament to Dawn’s faith, resilience, and commitment to helping others. Today, Dawn continues to inspire and empower people to embrace their creativity and live the life they love.
When asked why she wrote the book, Dawn said: “Creativity is our birthright; as we age, we can get caught in the resistance trap. She believes individuals must let go of complacency and live into their creative pursuits. When it comes to writing, she emphasizes, “Words have the power to make a difference,” and her mission is to help people share their message to inspire and leave a legacy.
During her adult life, Dawn experienced a fair share of creative resistance and writer’s block.
