93rd Oscars Academy Awards 2021 : Ekta Kapoor, Tahira Kashyap and Guneet Monga-backed Bittu makes it to Live Action Short Film shortlist

Karishma Dev Dube executive Bittu has made it to the Live Action Short Film waitlist for the 93rd Academy Awards. In the interim, India’s true Oscar section Jallikattu neglected to make it to the International Feature Film shortlist.

In light of a genuine story, Bittu tells the story of an inspiring companionship between two school-going companions. Other than winning the Student Academy Award, the short film has additionally made its quality felt in more than eighteen film celebrations across the world.

The official synopsis of Bittu reads, “Based on a true story, Bittu is a short film about a close friendship between two girls, eclipsed by an accident.”

Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga and Tahira Kashyap who have supported Bittu under their film aggregate Indian Women Rising are energized and ‘can’t try to avoid panicking’ as their first undertaking has made it to the Oscars waitlist.

Guneet Monga too communicated her energy via web-based media. “It’s 4.30am in India… am throwing and turning, stress eating and messaging my IWR young ladies through the evening and here we are !! BITTU is currently shortlisted for the 93rd Academy Awards. @indianwomenrising’s first movie BITTU coordinated by @k.devdube … here we come 💫 Let’s do this @ektarkapoor @tahirakashyap @ruchikaakapoor @maryelista @shredevdube. Not terrible, but not great either thankful for BITTU and our mind blowing group… ♥️ Say a little supplication and wish us karma for the following round of designations 💫” the movie producer composed on Instagram. Ekta Kapoor reposted Monga’s post as she communicated her happiness.

A few big names including Vidya Balan, Sandhya Mridul, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Arati Kadav praised the creators on the huge recognition.
